On August 11th Central Europe will witness its first total solar eclipse in nearly 40 years -- and the last total eclipse of the Sun anywhere during the 20th century. But North America won’t miss out entirely. Residents of the northeastern United States and Canada’s maritime provinces will be treated to a partial eclipse at sunrise if they have a clear view of the eastern horizon.
